Howdy folks!

I'm stoked to announce that TFAC#9 is currently printing and should be done in the next week or so, the printer in China gave me a ballpark but because of a busy production schedule they can't give me a hard date.

There were a LOT of items that went to print between all the different covers, collectible cards and other goodies. I think you'll all be be happily surprised with the package of rewards that we put together through Stretch Goals \o/

THE FEW AND CURSED #10 KS CAMPAIGN LAUNCHING NEXT WEEK!

That's right, my friends, now that we're officially fulfilling the Kickstarter to fund issue #9 it's time to get the next one under way :D

The next issue is already in the works with all covers completed, script done and layouts halfway through. We're launching the campaign to fund production of TFAC#10 next week on August 13th at 10am est!!

Howdy, folks!

This is always one of my favorite Updates to share with backers! The Few and Cursed #9 is now 100% complete and ready to be distributed digitally \o/

I'm finalizing files to go to print this week and I could use your help, from all of you. The first step is always sharing the digital files with y'all and get some feedback. I'd love some input on the dialogues, the writing, the language, typos, grammar mistakes, anything that jumps out and you feel you need to let me know.

When you do read and if you catch something please either leave a comment, DM or email me at [email protected]

Even though copy editing is part of the process, I love having creative freedom for the dialogues and use expressions that have long been outdated, come up with new ones that exist only in the world of TFAC and so forth.

But if anything sounds too weird or confusing, I'm happy to drop it and go back to the correct form of English :)

DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION

Digital files have been sent via BackerKit directly to your Kickstarter registered e-mails. All files have been sent with download instructions but here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

1- Check your Spam. E-mails will come from BackerKit and they can end up in your spam or junk folder. Please search for any and all e-mails coming from BackerKit.

2- BackerKit Surveys must have been filed out. I still have 116 backers that have not filled out their surveys yet and without completed surveys no rewards will be sent - digital or otherwise.

If you haven't filled out your survey please click the link below and you'll immediately and automatically get an e-mail with the digital files as soon as you complete them:

If you haven't received the digital files it's probably because you haven't filled out your surveys. If you are still not able to retrieve your personal Survey after clicking the link above please contact me at [email protected]  so we can get the good folks over at BackerKit on it.

Last but not least, you all have the files in your e-mails you just need to find it in your inbox or junk folder. I will not send out any download links, digital distribution happens via BackerKit. It's the best way for me to protect the books and make sure everyone downloads their rewards.

Recapping all Digital Rewards:

• The Few and Cursed #9: The Great Deluge - Part 3
• Ashcan special edition (Black & White) of The Few and Cursed #9
• A collection of wallpapers for mobile & desktop
• Sound bites featuring the voice of the Redhead - PENDING

Backers that have pledged for packages including back issues or other titles (i.e.: Shadow Nation, Chronicles, 321: Fast Comics, etc) already got their respective digital copies too. 

It's all done automatically and securely via BackerKit, all files are distributed together so if you misplace any emails please let me know and we will get that squared away.

3x SOUND BITES FEATURING THE VOICE OF RED

These were supposed to have been completed over the weekend but a bit more time is needed so the sounds bites will be sent separately ASAP. I think it's best not to delay the digital distribution since everything else has been prepped anyway.

As soon as I have these files I will share them with you :)

I hope you enjoy all the books and digital stuff prepared for you and again I promise to continue updating you all as I get more news regarding the physical fulfillment. FULFILLMENT CALENDAR

Alright, this is probably the final dates I'll be sharing with you now that we're printing the books. As always, I'd like to remind you all that there still could be delays like the cargo being held up at port, transit times vary between China and the US, lots could still happen but these are as accurate as I can share with them:

• July 15th: Digital Distribution! Read The Few and Cursed #9 today \o/
• Mid July to early August: Printing in China!
• Late August: Books in transit from China, should take about four to six weeks
• August: The Few and Cursed #10 arrives on Kickstarter!!
• September: Fulfillment starts! This should take about two weeks so we're aiming for mid-September to be completely done

Howdy everyone!

It's finally happening, here's the update you've been all waiting for, folks! It took us longer than we had hoped but we're wrapping up production on the book and getting files ready for printing \o/

While the book is 100% done we're still reviewing everything and making adjustments while prepping files which always takes a week sometimes two. Rest assured though that as soon as files are ready to go we will get started on the digital part of fulfillment!

On behalf of the whole crew, we couldn't be more excited about sharing The Few and Cursed #9 with you all! It's been a true labor of love as we all look to improve with each issue and we all feel this latest one represents our best work.

It's packed with action, storytelling, world-building, lore and it brings a character from Shadow Nation into the main series in a BIG way!

You've seen the covers and some of the new art we produced for this Kickstarter and when you add everything up I think you all will be very excited :D

BACKERKIT CREDIT CARDS WILL BE CHARGED TOMORROW!

We're finalizing all Surveys tomorrow and charging credit cards of backers that added extra products to their original pledges. This is the last chance to get anything that will be produced in limited quantities - I'm doing a final count based on the Surveys.

THE FEW AND CURSED #10 COMING TO KICKSTARTER IN AUGUST!

I'm excited to announce that we already started working on the next issue. The script has been finalized and Fabiano is already working on layouts for both the cover and first few pages.

While at some point I planned on launching the Kickstarter campaign in July, it's best to wait and let everyone take a breather - including our crew. That was one of the decisions Fabiano and I made to ensure fulfillment moves a lot faster. 

So the Kickstarter will actually launch when production is a bit more advanced instead of ahead of time. The covers though are already in the works... and when we get closer to the launch date I will make sure to share a preview link you can all sign up ;)

That's it for today's Update but now that we are this close to the finish line you can expect to hear back sooner than later and not once a month as it's been the norm.

Quick heads-up before anything else that ADAGIO's Kickstarter campaign ends TOMORROW (Tuesday June 18th) and it marks the last opportunity to get the book in its' special die-cut hardcover format and with all the perks unlocked through Stretch Goals.

If you haven't checked it out yet, come on over, we're nearing 900 backers and one Stretch Goal away from completely unlocking Phase 1!

Alright, I still have 186 backers that have NOT fulfilled their BackerKit Surveys and I really need everyone, all of you, to fill your surveys before I lock them up and get a final printing/production count for all items.

We're in the final stages of production of the book and we will be going to print in the next two weeks.

If backers don't fill out their Surveys I won't be able to have a final tally and there is a risk the more limited items will be sold out before we complete fulfillment so please access and fill out your BackerKit Surveys by 11:59pm est TONIGHT.

UPDATED PRODUCTION & FULFILLMENT DATES

Even though both Fabiano and myself have finished our work on The Few and Cursed #9 (we're already at work on #10!!) our colorist Tiago Barsa was hospitalized for a couple of weeks and we obviously respected his recovery time.

He came back to work over the weekend and we expect to finish colors by the end of next week.

While we would have loved to send out digital copies tomorrow, I'm afraid we will have to push it by a couple of weeks. Here is the new schedule we are working with:

• June 17th: BackerKit Surveys closing TODAY (mandatory to fill them out!)
• July 1st: We go to print and digital rewards distributed!
• Mid to Late July: Books in transit from China, should take about four to six weeks
• Late August: Fulfillment starts! This should take about two weeks so we're aiming for mid-September to be completely done

I understand how frustrating these constant delays are and both Fabiano and myself spent all weekend at HeroesCon discussing ways of shortening both production and fulfillment times. We've come up with a few things to try starting in the Summer so The Few and Cursed #10 has a much faster turnaround time.

Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding though, I can't say enough how TFAC has the best fans in the world because no matter what, you're all right there with us.

Hey everyone!

We're less then $400 away from the next Stretch Goal unlock over at the Adagio Kickstarter campaign... who can jump on it and help us reach $25K? Who's with me!? :D

Although we have a bit of time left on the clock the earlier we get as many pledges as possible the longer we stay on top of the Comics category on Kickstarter helping us find more and more new backers. I'd really appreciate your support, my friends.

As outlined in my previous Update I am sending out all the BackerKit Surveys! It took a little longer for most Smoke Test backers to complete their surveys, probably because of the long weekend, but we're all good now =)

You can consider this the official start of the fulfillment of this exciting TFAC issue and what's probably the most important step since I need you all to do your part too.

All BACKERKIT SURVEYS HAVE BEEN SENT AND WILL BE LOCKED DOWN ON JUNE 17TH!!

And if you don't fill them out you won't receive any rewards included in your pledge tier - digital files too! Yep, it's that important.

I use BackerKit to tally up every single item we're sending to production and I also use BackerKit to distribute digital rewards, organize all the different shipments, print shipping reports to TCG so they can organize shipments and much more so if you don't provide your information on BackerKit you will NOT receive your rewards.

All of you, every single backer, should have received by now e-mails directly from BackerKit asking you to fill out the Surveys. They are easily accessible from the e-mails sent and pretty straightforward, all you gotta do is follow the steps and instructions. No sign in required.

I will lock down the surveys on June 17th in time to go to print and if you don't get them filled by then you do risk missing out on some of the most limited items. Please fill those sooner than later so I can put in the printing order as accurately as possible.

Also, if you miss the deadline above YOUR NAME WILL NOT BE IN THE THANK YOU PAGE. Last Kickstarter campaigns I had a number of backers ask me why their names weren't in there, well, that's why. 

If you haven't received your BackerKit Survey invite please follow these steps:

Keep an eye out on your Spam Folder and/or Junk Mail. E-mails will come either directly from BackerKit or myself (Felipe Cagno) and will say on the subject line Response Needed -- Get your rewards for The Few and Cursed #9.

If you don't spot them manually then try using the "Search" feature on your e-mail account page and look for either my name or BackerKit.

*IMPORTANT: Make sure you are checking the right e-mail account. It is the same e-mail you used to register an account on Kickstarter. 

Also, if your Kickstarter pledge was made under a "privaterelay.apple.id" email address, you will need to contact us with an alternate email address. This would be the case if you registered to Kickstarter on your iPhone letting the phone set up the account for you. 

Backerkit cannot send email or survey links to those addresses, so we will need an alternate to complete your pledge.

If none of the above works then click the link below, hit the "Lost your Survey?" and input your Kickstarter registered e-mail when prompted.

How to Upgrade or Switch your Pledge Level

On the very first screen backers will have the chance to upgrade or switch pledge levels. There is a little clickable "or switch your pledge level" just underneath the big green Get Started! button as pictured above.

If you would like to go for a higher tier the system will charge you the difference at the end of the process and if you pledged for one of the top tiers already but would like to spend the cash in a different way then the system will use the overpaid difference as extra credit to be used towards Add-ons.

THE ADD-ONS SHOPPING WINDOW

You will also be able to add a number of other graphic novels, cards, collectibles and more to your pledges.

That includes the original The Few and Cursed series in single Black & White issues or trade paperback format, the slipcase with original design, the spin-off anthology Chronicles of The Few and Cursed, TFAC: Shadow Nation. TFAC: Heart-Shaped Ambition, all our collectible cards and more.

Also available are all my other original comic books and graphic novels.

PLEASE NOTE: Credit cards are not charged immediately. They are only charged after the surveys lock on June 17th.

Shipping Issues, Missing Rewards or any other problems

Glitches might happen. I'm prone to mistakes so if you notice anything out of place do not hesitate to either leave a comment on this update, shoot me a message or e-mail me at [email protected]

We did a smoke test with a few of you and it seemingly went alright, nothing reported. Not that there's nothing wrong but at least nothing that stood out. If you have any problems filling out the surveys or adding items to your pledge I'm always here to help make this experience as smooth as possible.

And because credit cards aren't charged immediately you can just add items at your convenience, finalize the order and if there's anything wrong with pricing or shipping, anything out of place really, we can correct it before any charges go through.

I'm trying to cover any and all big questions in this one long update but obviously if there is still anything confusing do not hesitate to contact me. I might not answer right away but I usually get back to  everyone within 24 hours.

If you are a new The Few and Cursed fan there will be plenty for you to browse and add to your pledge, if  you are a returning backer this is the perfect opportunity to fill any gaps in your collection. Take your time, go through our stuff and always know I'm here to help.
