The Few and Cursed is a creator-owned comic book series about people trying to survive a wicked world where most of the water was gone overnight in a mysterious apocalyptic event in 1840.
The Redhead is a hardened survivor that was born in this reality and now fights to protect the innocent. As the land fell into darkness a group of men and women decided to take a stand and fight back, they are known as Curse Chasers.

Quick reminder following up last week's update that the new The Few and Cursed one-shot graphic novel is now LIVE and available for pre-order right here on Kickstarter! We had an absolutely incredible Day 1 and we funded in exactly two hours \o/
Meaning we are now chasing Stretch Goals having unlocked three of them already! If you haven't checked out Hidden Away yet please use the link above or click right here to visit our campaign page and check out previews, covers and much more!
It'd mean the world to me to see all of you return for yet another TFAC tale. Hidden Away is the story of a group of kids that go off in the greatest adventure of their lives when they decide to explore the deep ends of the water mines in Vale Springs.
Of course they come across mysteries, monsters & curses!
This is a very personal project for me and I have been having a blast with the script, it's almost as if the kids write themselves each having their very own distinctive voice. Here's one of the pages and you're welcome to check out a few more hitting the link ;)

New TFAC#9 pages! New TFAC Project coming to Kickstarter on Tuesday! Tons of PREVIEWS \o/

I'm absolutely thrilled to announce a new original The Few and Cursed one-shot graphic novel is arriving on Kickstarter next week on January 30th! Titled Hidden Away this is a very personal project because it's a love letter to one of my all-time favorite movies - The Goonies!
It is set in the same TFAC universe you all came to love throughout the years and brings everything we all like: monsters, curses, curse chasers, legends, myth, folklore and of course tons of adventure!
Hidden Away is a complete story written by me, Felipe Cagno, with incredible artwork by Stan Yak & Fabi Marques. And you wanna know something even better? It is going to be our very first worldwide friendly shipping campaign!
That's right, I've finally secured a great shipping partner to be our hub in Europe and offer local friendly rates. GamesQuest came highly recommended and I look forward to working with them to help us grow our audience - especially outside the US.
We're launching on Tuesday but you can already sign up to be notified of the launch and make sure you enjoy those limited early bird specials! Here's the link one more time for y'all:
Fabiano had to momentarily step away from working on the next Redhead comic book to deliver an absolutely amazing cover for Hidden Away but after a few days he's back full time on issue #9.
He's about halfway through the issue and we continue to expect to be completely done with production by late February to mid-March.Â
We do have Emerald City Comic Con next month in Seattle so it's very likely we will have to adjust our calendar by a couple of weeks but we are working on the book and we cannot wait for you all to experience Red's latest issue!
Here are a couple of new pages, pencils only, Fabiano delivered with the quality we all deserve, it's always a joy seeing everything he brings to every issue, all the details.

Before I share some absolutely eye-candy from The Few and Cursed #9 allow me to share with you another series that I've been working on and that launched the final chapter a few hours ago right here on Kickstarter.
One-Eyed Jack is a powerful story that uses as a backdrop the mass shooting that tragically took place in Las Vegas in October 1st 2017 killing 58 people. To this day it's still the deadliest shooting that ever happened in American soil and it's still a mystery why it happened.
Originally developed by CSI creator, yep THAT tv show CSI, Anthony E. Zuiker, OEJ has been an emotional rollercoaster for the whole team involved and we couldn't be more excited to bring the story to an end.Â
The final chapter, and combos with previous books, is now available on Kickstarter for a limited time only. Help us fund on day 1 by clicking here or the link below and putting in your pledge.
I love seeing my words come alive with Fabiano's incredible artwork. I write the most crazy sequences ever and he always deliver the goods. Issue #9 kicks off with an exciting action sequence and you can check out below the very first three pages (we have more done but I don't want to spoil the fun!).
As of right now we're right on schedule to deliver your rewards within our estimated dates but as always as production progress I will keep you all up to date.

What can I say about the biggest The Few and Cursed Kickstarter campaign any single book or original graphic novel we ever had?!
You are all amazing and I cannot appreciate you all enough...

While we might have not unlocked everything on Phase 2, we were SO close, there was only one last SG left, this was a phenomenal campaign that keeps us on track to continue building a community around the Redhead and her universe.Â
We have fantastic plans for the franchise that go well beyond the comics and it all starts here on Kickstarter with your support.
Before I start covering the next steps and what to expect in the upcoming months let me just take the opportunity to cover the latest Stretch Goal unlocked - a lastminute one!
Every backer at any physical tier will now get a pretty awesome sticker featuring the Redhead and a killer catch phrase!! Now the question is: what should it say?!
WHAT ARE OUR NEXT STEPS?
First a little bit of business. Please note your credit cards have been charged already and if they haven't they will be in the next few days. If there are any problems Kickstarter will automatically ask for backers to fix the issue and try again for about a week or so.
If you have any questions regarding payment please reach out directly to Kickstarter.There isn't much I can do other than check on errored payments and send a message to you to try and help mediate any assistance needed with Kickstarter.
Make sure your payment methods are up to date to avoid dropped pledges.
If by any chance your pledge gets dropped and you still have an interest in your rewards, do not fret, you still counts as a backer when I send out the Pledge Manager surveys via BackerKit and you will have yet another chance to correct your payment method and confirm the pledge.
Next up we go to work!
Production on The Few and Cursed #9 is ongoing and I will keep you all updated as things move along including artists announcements, sneak peeks at layouts, inked pages and colors, the whole process, you all get to tag along.
Right now the script has been completed and Fabiano has already started working on the layouts, he just finished up issue #8 last week so we're jumping from one book immediately onto the next \o/
In the next six to eight weeks I hope to have finished casting all the artists for the various items unlocked via Stretch Goals and as soon as they start turning in layouts and finished pieces you will also be the first ones to see.Â
WHEN WILL THE FEW AND CURSED BE BACK ON KICKSTARTER?
Well... sooner than you think! We always launch something new on Halloween đ so another Kickstarter is literally around the corner. It's going to be a brand new original graphic novel titled HIDDEN AWAY featuring art by Rafael Sam!
The outline and character essays have been completed and Rafael got so excited he actually did a quick study which you can check out below:

Alright, alright, alright!
We're down to the wire, this absolutely thrilling Kickstarter campaign is coming to an end TONIGHT at 11:59pm EST \o/
I couldn't be happier with our success until now and that's all thanks to you guys, thank you all so much for pledging and supporting The Few and Cursed! We're very close to unlocking another Stretch Goal and that puts almost through an entire second phase of SGs!!
Ain't that sumthin', partners!?
The bookmark is a physical item shipping with EVERY order going out in the mail and will now sport a brand new and exclusively commissioned art by an Artist to be yet revealed! I always welcome the opportunity of working with new artists and it's just exciting we can add one more to our roster :D
Wait, did I say one?
I meant two! Because we also unlocked a brand new collectible card too!! The collection keeps growing and does our roster of incredibly talented artists I'm lucky to collaborate with!

Ray Troll: Art of the Oceans, Humor, Paleontology, and Fish!
Let me take the opportunity of doing one last round of Project(s) Spotlights! The good folks at Clover Press reached out with this incredible looking project that I had to share with you all. For those that didn't know, I've partnered up with Clover Press to distribute the TFAC trade paperback so this is a nice way for us to collaborate one more time.
From their own page: "For more than four decades, the celebrated Alaskan artist, Ray Troll, has been luring, hooking, and landing fans around the world with his mesmerizing renditions of the inhabitants of Planet Ocean, past and present. Trollâs art is featured in many of the nationâs major natural history museums, including the Smithsonian, in galleries, in books, as well as on an immensely popular line of T-shirts."
Asylum Press is an awesome indy publisher and I was fortunate to meet Frank a while back since we have a knack for the weird and supernatural. They just launched their next issue of Fearless Dawn and have already reached their initial goal!
From their own page: "The origin of Fearless Dawn is finally told! The second Power-Packin' issue!  Prissy Jones in her first bona-fide adventure here, battling the Nazi menace on the home front. An unlikely friendship develops between Prissy and the bully Betty Magillicutty, and the stage is set for the potboiler series.
